COMMISSIONS
Guidelines for Ordering a Custom Piece

When I accept an order for a commissioned piece of art work, my goal is to understand and fulfill your vision... in the style of Michael Sean Piper.  In the immortal words of Popeye, “I yam what I yam and that's all what I yam”.

If you enjoy my style, then I would be thrilled to work with you to create a piece based on your concept and vision.  If you are looking for a piece in a style that is different than what you see in my portfolio, then I would encourage you to find an artist who works in that style and commission a piece from them.  Why?  Because you being happy with the finished product is far more important to me than making a sale.

REGARDING PRICING FOR COMMISSIONED PIECES:

Because each piece is unique, I would be hard-pressed to offer any sort of "price list" for commissions.  Depending on size, level of difficulty, and your timeline for completion, pries can vary greatly.  I will be able to quote you a price once we've nailed down all the details and entered into an agreement.  I am willing to work with you to offer you something within your budget, but it is also important to recognize that an artist's time and talent have value.  My prices reflect not only the cost of materials and the time it takes for me to create a piece, but also years of honing my craft and finding my "voice".  I deeply appreciate the fact that you enjoy my style and my "voice" enough to consider commissioning a piece from me.  It means a lot.

If, after reading that disclaimer, you are still interested in discussing a commission... huzzah!  I will be happy to discuss your idea with you and see whether we can create exactly what your little heart desires.  Please submit an inquiry through the Contacts page of this site, or reach out via social media to get the conversation started, and we can go from there.
