Goblins & Calendars & Kethians, Oh my!

2025 October Wrap-up

October was a fun and challenging month for me on a creative level. I dove headlong into a month-long art challenge called "Gobtober"-- the title being a portmanteau of  “goblin” and  “October”-- in which you draw a goblin a day for the entire month based on a prompt list designed by Juan, the creator of the YouTube channel Odd Artworks.  I managed to complete the challenge with a few minor tweaks: I couldn't draw every day, so on a few occasions I drew two or three of the prompts all on a single page, creating a kind of a small scene. As of October 31st, I still had to add color to a couple of the pieces, but at least I got through the entire list.

I also received a number of pre-orders for my two 2026 art calendar designs: “Eclectica”, and the ever popular “Meanwhile, In Keth…”. The first five customers received custom character drawings– Kethians drawn especially for them– which added another layer of art to complete before the end of the month, since calendars were due to ship November 1st. There are plenty of calendars available if you are in need of some affordable and ever-changing MSP art for your walls, or are looking for gifts for those tough-to-buy-for friends. "Meanwhile in, Keth..." is the latest installment in worldbuilding for my land of Keth, and "Eclectica" is filled with various pieces of art from the last few years– a nice mix of neat stuff. I'm also planning on offering an online option where folks can order a custom Kethian of their very own in the near future. You’ll choose from a menu of characteristics and have the opportunity to provide a special request or two for specific customization.  Let me know if this idea excites you.
